About
Melanie discovered her desire to work with the pediatric population as a counsellor at a summer camp for children with diverse needs. As a result, she became a behavioural interventionist for kids with autism and eventually transitioned to becoming a certified occupational therapist. Initially, she consulted in schools before joining the On The Ball team.
In her practice, Melanie fosters well-being and engagement by cultivating a safe environment where children can thrive and develop essential skills necessary for their growth and independence. With a strength-based approach, she aims to support her clients to build practical tools through play to overcome their unique set of challenges. Through her fun-loving and patient nature, Melanie enjoys working with the family and the individual to develop resiliency, participate in meaningful activities, and integrate into the community. Originally hailing from Montreal, Melanie provides services in both French and English.
