Posture / Inner-Core Strengthening
A body is like a Jenga puzzle, when you stack the blocks well, the tower doesn’t fall. The same concept applies to our bodies! Being aligned when sitting or standing is important for the rest of our body to work efficiently without compensation. For example, when sitting hunched over at a desk, your child may exhibit difficulties with reading, writing or simply paying attention. The inner core muscle activation is driven by how our bones are stacked up and aligned. Those groups of muscles are the transverse abdominis, the pelvic floor, the diaphragm and the multifidus.. They act as the foundation of a house. Like any home, if the foundation is not strong or stable, the house starts to shift.
